The park was first created in 1973 by a committee of dedicated community members.  Originally a gravel pit, the committee first started in 1972 with the creation of the velodrome for cycling enthusiasts and then was made into a park the following year.

The park is owned by Norfolk County and maintained by the Windham & District Optimit Club.

Enjoy time with your family at wind-del park at the play park with your children or the tennis courts, volleyball pit, and many soccer fields!  Rent the pavilion or clubhouse for family get together or meetings.
